Direct Narrative is a boutique creative agency specializing in high-end video content and live streaming. After nearly a decade of operations, they have worked with a wide variety of clients from Google, Microsoft and Reddit to Epic Games, ASUS, L'Oreal, DIESEL, Jagermeister, NASCAR, Formula1 and more. Their live stream initiative kicked off after the founding partners helped Microsoft launch an esports + gaming studio in midtown Manhattan where they helped produce over 500 hours of live gaming content inside of a calendar year. During the pandemic, they produced award-winning virtual gala events for non-profit organizations like the School of American Ballet and the World Monuments Fund. Most recently, they spearheaded Microsoft's live production efforts related to the United Nations General Assembly.As Chief Strategy Officer, I lead our Sales, Marketing + Business Development efforts as well as our Technology, Solutions Architecture and R&D. Hired full-time as a Microsoft vendor through The Gamer Agency - an esports agency that built, staffed and operated their midtown production studio on 5th Avenue.Some of my responsibilities included:-Worked closely with studio build/integration team to finish the build of a new Microsoft production facility.-Built post-production environment including three Adobe CC edit suites with EditShare connectivity.-Lead technical team in preparation and execution of 2-3 event broadcasts each week totaling in about 10 hours of live programming.-Took over responsibilities of Engineer-In-Charge to solve complex technical problems around the studio broadcast technology stack, as well as the integration of PC and Xbox gaming systems.-Worked closely with Oculus and Insomniac Games and acted as technical lead for the studio for the first-ever mixed reality esports broadcast for the finals of a nationwide tournament for the game "The Unspoken".-Regularly acted as Stage Manager, Producer, AD and/or Moderator during regular esports tournaments, game launches and other community events.-Authored and maintained critical studio documentation and policy.-Assisted with Business Development opportunities from a technical standpoint.

Aframe is a cloud-based video production platform which enables content producers to store, share, and collaborate on video projects from within a web browser.Key responsibilities include:-Introducing potential clients to the product while highlighting relevant functionality and use cases.-Managing key customer relationships as the technical point of contact.-Identifying potential growth opportunities within the existing client base.-Evaluating client needs and developing custom workflows accordingly.-Supporting innovative post production and media management workflows. -Regularly interacting with the developers to test and help roll out new features.-Understanding the competitive landscape for media management solutions - both in the cloud and on premise.

-Create and manage tech specs and delivery schedules for both master control and our international channel partners. -Coordinate content delivery workflows for international partners in India, UAE, Russia, Canada, Mexico, as well as program sales clients in other global territories.-Coordinate content delivery between our production facility and master control/ international clients.-Provide technical workflow support to various departments such as Program Sales, Ad Sales, Programming, Creative Services, and Digital.-Explore new technical solutions and workflows for various departments such as Digital Marketing, Ad Sales, Program Sales, as well as OTT and other distribution outlets.-Manage relations with vendors, partners, and service providers such as Aframe, YouToo, Telestream and Yupp Media.

-Manage an Avid ISIS Server with 5 Avid workstations with the help of consultants from NEP Studios, Tekserve and Avid.-Responsible for the backup and archive (using LTO-5) of all show media - both in-house and out-of-house productions.-Developed and executed an action plan to organize and create a library of over 500 hours of legacy content.-Interface with Master Control and our Broadcast Ops team to send show content and promotional spots to air.-Interface with Head of Program Sales and communicate directly with international syndication partners to fulfill executed contracts and deliver sold content.-Interface with producers to arrange special screenings of in-house content as needed.-Credited as the Media Manager in Rock Your Yoga, Yoga Sutra Now, Peggy K's Kitchen Cures, and What Would Julieanna Do?
