Casual Game Insider (CGI) is a quarterly trade magazine with a distribution list of over 10,000 that includes regional distributors, local game stores, and individual subscribers. As the editor for CGI, I worked closely with the editor-in-chief throughout the lifecycle of each issue: provided editorial direction and feedback to our writers, copyedited submitted drafts, and wrote additional copy as needed. Once the layout was complete, reviewed the final proof before publication. Intermittenly contributed to the magazine periodically via interviews with industry experts and board game publishers; event coverage (social media & event recaps).

My responsibilities included writing the press releases, newsletters, annual event scripts, and other Alliance communications. I handled media outreach and social media strategy, the annual publication of the Alliance’s Business Resource Directory, content development for the Alliance’s website, and coordinating with municipal representatives on joint press releases or public events. I also represented Waukesha County businesses on committees or spoke at events such the Wisconsin Cyber Security Summit (2015 & 2016). Other Responsibilities included:Coordinating the Alliance’s Schools2Skills program with area schools and manufacturers; Speaking on behalf of the Alliance's Young Professionals program; Working on the MADE Committee; Scheduling ribbon-cuttings with public officials for new business openings and expansions.
