I am an experienced and empathetic technology leader with more than 25 years of IT experience. I have been with the NYC Department of Education for more than half of my career, and the experience has been invaluable as we work to improve the education - and thereby the lives - of New York City children. The evolving landscape of EdTech has been a learning journey for me, and one of the things I love about application development is the rapid pace at which one must learn in order to keep up and grow professionally. I also appreciate it when technology has a tangible impact on someone's life, most notably a parent, student, teacher, principal, or school administrator. I have been blessed to work with many talented folks over the years, and have a broad skill set that includes management, user experience design, front-end development, and accessibility. I am passionate about the work, and I believe that emotional intelligence, creativity, and empathy are critical to success.
