In the past 3 years, the software role Eric worked in was on Verizon Business (VzB) Custom GNTS and Qwest exclusive Fast Take Back and Transfer features in the DMS-250 Long Distance software areas. Eric distinguished himself early in his work on the webCiTI prototype project for ACD. He took the initiative on most all aspects of this project and showed both strong technical abilities in developing and maintaining the software and in providing customer presentations. In the software development area, Eric took the lead in writing much of the C++, Java, and web-based attributes of the application web server. He gave numerous presentations and demonstrations of webCiTI and really excelled at both his presentation skills and in describing the behavior to those who were non-technical. Both Eric’s verbal presentation skills and written documents are a clear strong point and differentiator of what he offers that are well above average as compared to most technical engineers. In numerous times in working ACD software features, Eric showed the positive aspect of being very reliable at running with most any issue requested of him independently and took a personal stake in ownership of whatever was on his plate. He consistently helped others with their ACD features and always did whatever it took to get the job done with quality and accountability. On both the VzB GNTS and Qwest FTBT projects, Eric was a clear leader in his ability to craft the customer visible functional documents and in authoring many of the High Level and Detailed Designs and overall Test Plans as well. Eric really distinguished himself in being able to create technically accurate and well presented documents that both the customers and those internally could very much appreciate and easily relate to requirements. Eric is one of those few engineers that can both develop software with great documentation and illustrations of how the application functions and interacts with other components so the big picture is always in focus. Eric’s strengths are his teamwork, his attention to detail, and his creativity in the work products he creates. He works very well with others as consistently demonstrated over the years whether it is fellow designers, product verification engineers, business teams, or the customer. Eric is technically savvy and uses both cutting edge and existing technology well to accomplish deliverables and to introduce others on the team to the latest advances within the PC, wireless, and web-based areas.
