As the Grand Poobah of Scroll Communications, I provide a range of writing, editing, and content strategy services to diverse clients. I've been online for a long time and know how to quickly tell a good story in a few words. I’ve also worked on over fifty large content reorganization and production projects and have the insight, experience (and scars) required to pull key concepts from reams of outmoded or unorganized information. Copywriting and editing services include websites, social media, blogs, white papers, reports, ebooks, manuscripts, proposals, presentations, video scripts, support and training materials, marketing collateral, and more. Content strategy services include content audits and mapping, information architecture, user interface, and user experience development. Clients include the City of Vancouver, the Government of Ontario, Simon Fraser University, Tourism Canada, GO Transit, Symantec Inc., Cirius Messaging Inc., Canadian Pacific Railway, Yellow Pages Group, WestJet Airlines, and others.

For RewardStream, I organized and maintained company collateral, most of which I also created. This encompassed a full set of marketing and sales collateral including approximately 50 stand-alone content pieces such as program documentation, datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, sales presentations, RFPs and RFIs, demonstration websites and scripts, as well as a range of other content, including company website copy, video scripts, blog posts, keywords, SEO strategies, and more.

Remote-Based

For Symantec. I managed content, production, and publication of the globally recognized Symantec Internet Security Threat Report (http://www.symantec.com/security_response/publications/threatreport.jsp) as well as numerous other reports, whitepapers, and the company's Security Response blog.Each report cycle produced 100s of pages of published materials in as many as 15 different main and supplemental reports for globally specific regions and audiences, all of which had to be scheduled, managed, and published in conjunction. As well, to support publication, my team and I would create a range of supplemental collateral such as infographics, tweets, blog posts, PPT presentations, and other materials.As Managing Editor, I produced the publication schedule for all analyst submissions, stakeholder reviews, PR liaisons, third-party supplier deliveries (such as graphics and other design support).

Queen'S Park

At the Government of Ontario, I was a program manager tasked with implementing a new website brand strategy across the government. I managed the redesign and rebuild of approximately 50 large and complex government websites, many of which ran into the 1000s of pages and which would often need to be entirely restructured for the rebuild. I contributed to the redesign, UX, and UI strategies for many of these projects to help specific ministry teams rebuild their websites to match the new government brand.I helped develop and communicate overarching government Internet strategy to ministry teams. I scheduled and managed numerous portfolios and projects simultaneously, including working with senior ministry staff, developers, content managers, and external agencies.

Generated and edited content and code for primary CPR Internet and Intranet sites which together ran into several hundred pages. Advised on Internet strategy and implementation. Produced and edited a range of marketing materials.
