When I was a senior in high school, I had to take an exam to determine what career suited me best. To the surprise of absolutely no one among my friends and family, I was profiled for interpersonal or people-related work. But I was a stubborn teenager and I decided to pursue a degree in Computer Science, which required a lot of logical and critical thinking to solve machine problems that were par for the course. I then worked for an R&D project and found that, while my education played a huge part in equipping me with the skills and knowledge for the job, my talent for people still shone through in my interactions with colleagues, vendors, and supervisors. It was a realization that led me to my journey in the Human Resources industry. This has led me to combining my skills and talent to deliver results. By combining data-driven analytics and people management, I have a wider perspective to see and solve problems. I worked my way from specialist, to manager, and to business partner with the multi-faceted approach of collaborating with people and analyzing data. I still have much to learn though and I am always open to opportunities for growth, while maintaining an openness to connect with people, learning new skills, and adapting to situations and circumstances.
