Leading a team of Engineers, in the development, verification and certifications of DO-178b software. Our team is currently working with Pratt & Whitney on the NGPF program, for all the engines.My responsibilities included:• Manage a team of engineers in the development of the DO-178b application software which has been certified• Provide support to the development team to maintain good moral and develop their skills.• Ensure that the team has the proper information and tools to complete their assignments within a reasonable delay.• Coordinate with the IPT Leads from different groups in order to effectively prepare test campaigns and test benches. • Interface with Pratt and Whitney to determine priority of change requests and requirements reviews for each planned software delivery.• Develop tools for progress tracking to ease composition of status updates for Pratt and Whitney and CS Canada managers.• Complete estimates for delivery schedules, and kept track of production metrics.• Interface with certification authorities to prepare for audits and implement corrective actions.• Review and write plans and standards.Additional activities include:• Mentoring Junior Team Leads in there development activities.• Development of Software tools to increase productivity for both CS Canada and Pratt and Whitney.• Identifying and eliminating no value added activities through development of new processes and tools.

During the 5 years at CAE, I have worked on multiple Military projects. The most notable accomplishments are as follows:SNIPER Integration.As part of the SNIPER integration team I collaborated with engineers to complete 3 projects from requirements to deployment and gave technical advice for others.• Developed overall integration plan for all 6 SNIPER projects.• Managed a team of engineers to bring 3 SNIPER projects from design to completion.• Conducted design reviews as senior specialist.• Reported projects progress and budget to project leader.• Conducted client acceptance demonstration.• Mentored junior developers.GPS-IFR - Auto pilot algorithm for the CF-18.As part of the GPS-IFR team, I have worked with a college to design and develop the Auto-Pilot algorithm that permitted the Jet Fighter to fly with minimal pilot intervention from one airport to another within the commercial airspace. The system was designed to fly according the regulations set by the FAA. • Designed, implemented and documented the steering algorithm for auto-pilot system on the CF-18.• Developed testing suit for the steering algorithm.• Analysis of aircraft flight data to correct steering algorithm constants.• Implementation of data transfers between different modules of the project.
