Taught multiple science courses. Organized multiple AVID fundraisers, planned multiple field trips, & created an AVID Senior Scholarship Fund using fundraising monies. Worked as the certified athletic trainer during school hours and home sporting events, providing athletic training coverage, applied first aid skills and assessed injured and sick students, teachers, and athletes. Supervised athletic training room, inventory and ordered athletic training supplies. • Biology Curriculum Development – determined the guidelines and criteria needed to meet student understanding and state mandates.o Evaluated goals and objectives to create a strategic plan; monitored/controlled the budget, schedule, and quality of work; measured baselines, and documented lessons learned.o In the first semester, 83% of students achieved proficiency and the following year up to 86%. Classified as exceeding expected growth for students in the third year and had the second highest scores in the county the following year. Consistently evaluated as accomplished, proficient, and meeting and exceeding expected growth. • Masonboro Island Curriculum Development – created the curriculum for the Masonboro Island Reserve, used to educate students and families through hands-on activities to understand the scope of human ecological impact.o Determined the scope, stakeholders, objectives, and created lessons to meet goals.o Communicated with educators and project team to effectively meet curriculum needs as per the timeline.• Water Quality Curriculum Development – developed a curriculum on human ecological impacts for ocean sciences class high school students.o Identified stakeholders/sponsors, created the project charter, developed the project plan, schedule, scope, budget, procurement of resources, and risk assessment.o Monitored the quality of learning through baseline assessment, and documented lessons learned as a paper-based exercise. o Authored, submitted, and awarded multiple grants.
