As machinery begins to have its capabilities enhanced through increasingly robust telematics systems, determining how that data relates to production and utilization information from single machines and jobsites to entire fleets becomes similarly important. This role helps our dealers and customers be able to make those connections, allowing them to leverage their data to become increasingly efficient and well-informed about how their machinery is being used, both descriptively providing summary analysis of machine performance and prescriptively determining avenues to increase profitability.

This far-reaching role has me working across strategy, tactics, and operations. I create and implement strategies related to Wirtgen's online application portal by maintaining and maintaining client accounts and permissions and providing assistance with troubleshooting our digital products.I'malso deeply involved with creating internal tools to optimize, streamline, and automate our operations practices across a disparate cross-section of departments. I use Excel daily and embrace using Power Query and VBA to solve an array of data problems with the core belief that embracing technological efficiency can bring both increased productivity as well as improved job satisfaction.

As Wirtgen's Machine Transportation Manager, my responsibilities include:- Communicating ready dates and loading appointments for our machines- Collecting proof of loading from carriers used by both Wirtgen and our customers- Receive invoice and verify costs for machine freightI consider myself fortunate to be in a position where I am able to create processes to ensure compliance with the standards presented both internally in our company and from our parent company. I use a state of the art CNC inkjet printer to decorate glassware. In addition to using the control unit to set the printing parameters, I am also responsible for refitting the tooling to accommodate a variety of shapes of glassware. In addition, I have implemented metric tracking and projections and a maintenance log, as well as a cleaning schedule, among other programs.
