SYSTEN began in 1997 as a developer of custom Windows software and database systems. As web development tools became more robust we transitioned our project focus from Windows applications to Web applications and haven't looked back.Today SYSTEN is a web and mobile technologies company focused primarily on developing custom web and mobile information systems for our clients. It is fair to say that our sweet spot involves developing mobile apps and web-based information management systems. Design and develop database software solutions for in-house users and large clients. My primary responsibility was to develop and support an import commodities tracking system for their largest customer. The solution was developed using Paradox and MS Basic and using script files to interface with an AS/400 for data access.

I moved to Denver in the fall of 1990 and hit the slopes for several months before beginning this position with DRC. I was a junior software developer working on a PC-based warehouse management system that interfaced with an HP9000 mid-range system. A couple months into my new job I had some personal matters that required me to go back to Kansas City and pursue my career.

My first job after graduating from college - Great experience!The people were super and my role was diverse, challenging, and rewarding. I spent much of my 3+ years at MHM engaged in small business consulting and producing software/system solutions to "automate the process" for MHM business clients. Also extensively involved in the design and development of industry leading employee benefits management and proposal software systems, and supporting the 100+ accountants IT and IS needs on computers and "portables" (we called them toasters) that were enormous and bulky (they were like carrying a 20 pound turkey with you to business engagements) and using software like Lotus1-2-3, Word Perfect, and dBase on green monochrome screens....
