Develop and enhance build system for Clustered Data ONTAP (cDOT), driving improvements in the development environment. Improve developer productivity by enhancing build tools and build architecture for large build farm at multiple geographic locations (60+ machines, 2400+ cores, 15+ TB of RAM).• Enhance Python-based build engine for distributing work across build farm. Provide code review for features/fixes and recommendations for architectural improvements.• Analyze large collection of build metrics (7 million records/day, billions of rows) to identify problem areas in the build process.• Developed new tools and enhance existing tools (Perl-based) to standardize generation of libraries, executables and kernel modules resulting in reduced build times by 50%.• Develop and integrate new processes to enable the digital signing of binaries and loadable kernel modules for enhanced security to support requirement from US Public Sector.• Integrate 3rd party software (OpenSSL FIPS) to provide support to add FIPS-140 compliance. $200M in revenue was at risk if FIPS-140 compliance was not available.• Developed framework for incorporating 3rd party software based on GNU Autoconf into cDOT. Operational lead for integration of ClearCase development infrastructure from Nortel to Ericsson. Develop best practices and standards for development operations of global ClearCase infrastructure.• Designed the new ClearCase development infrastructure to transition Nortel development environment acquired by Ericsson.• Designed and executed plan to transfer development environment to Ericsson.• Replicated 4 TB of ClearCase data over a 1-month period to sites in Ottawa (ON), Richardson (TX) and Beijing (China).

Operational lead for ClearCase development infrastructure. Develop best practices and standards for the administration and management of global ClearCase infrastructure for a heterogeneous client environment.• Design, develop and implement backup solution for ClearCase VOBs. Backup solution ensures that VOBs are backed up properly and on schedule. Developed monitoring system to ensure backups are successful and to detect failures• Design, develop and implement biweekly dbcheck program for over 9000 VOB replicas to ensure data integrity and detect errors as soon as possible.• Develop program and support tools for yearly reformat of all VOBs. The purpose of this program is to optimize VOB databases, reduce storage usage, and provide additional data integrity checking.• Develop data collection tools to gather VOB storage statistics into a database. The information is used to provide storage growth projections for VOB data to assist in managing and planning for storage needs.• Defined standard Sun/Solaris configuration for ClearCase servers for Nortel which was adopted as global standard. Emphasis on high availability, high reliability and high performance including specification of hardware, storage and storage management, software.• Defined standard setup and configuration for ClearCase UNIX™/Windows NT Interoperability environment using Samba.• Developed suite of tools to manage ClearCase environment – view aging, view cleanup; VOB growth, monitoring and backup.• Developed suite of tools to manage configuration of Windows PCs. No existing tools were available to remotely diagnose, repair or configure PCs for use with ClearCase.• Re-evaluated plans for new ClearCase environment in Richardson, TX and reduced cost by $1.5 million. Set up new environment in 3 days, reducing estimated set up time from 3 weeks.
