Embedded Payment Commercialization:• Worked with peers in Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Tech, Risk and Service to build end-to-end business focused on meeting the needs of embedded payment clients. • Conducted deep dives alongside SVB Product team to create business cases for new products including RTP, push to card, payment facilitation, virtual accounts, and card-issuance-as-a-service. • Oversaw pilot design and rollout of some of these products within SVB’s embedded payment client base. • Created new servicing team at SVB dedicated to embedded payment clients which enabled greater hours of coverage, tighter SLAs and more efficient issue resolution.• Partnered with SVB’s credit organization to revamp and tailor SVB underwriting guidance to meet unique needs to embedded payment clients. • Worked with First Line of Defense (Compliance), Legal and Risk teams on design, implementation and continuous evolution of approval and oversight model for embedded payment programs. Embedded Payment Solutioning:• Designed, built and scaled embedded payment programs with clients at SVB by combining risk, compliance, and legal oversight with access to specialized bank accounts (e.g., custodial and FBO accounts) and payment rails (e.g., ACH, virtual cards, checks, wires, RPPS, and merchant processing).• Launched 10-20 new embedded payment programs per year across a range of embedded payment use cases including payroll, billpay, AR automation, claims payments, travel booking, alt lending, purchase financing, payment facilitation, cross border payments, P2P remittances, and reimbursements.• Advised ~250 embedded payment companies per year. Provided guidance on topics ranging from business continuity to pros and cons of buy vs. build vs. partner to finding payments-focused consultants and lawyers. Built a significant network and provided clear, actionable advice to help companies understand and execute on their options.

Partnered with fintech start-ups and growth companies to help them develop and optimize payment solutions. Worked to jointly design, launch, and scale payment programs. Assisted and led various payment initiatives for SVB including fintech partnerships (Coupa, Modern Treasury), and new product development.
