Graduate Research Assistant in the Virginia Tech Uncrewed Systems Lab. Performed research on innovative mission planning, in-flight object detection, and post-flight data presentation tools for incident response scenarios.Also performed Graduate Teaching Assistant role for the Drone Sytems class. Instructed and certified students to Level 2 TOP Operator status.

Conducted a study to model the impedance across two surfaces in contact in order to understand the factors affecting antenna performance. Collaborated with cross-functional teams including antenna design and electrical engineering to develop and full-factorial design of experiments (DOE) aimed at understanding the different factors that impact impedance. Designed a test fixture and circuit board layouts capable of measuring and manipulating the factors identified in the DOE. Worked with external vendors to understand spring clip design, measurement best practices, and PCB board manufacture. Analyzed the collected data using general full-factorial and response surface analysis techniques to extract trends and identify significant factors affecting impedance across two surfaces in contact with each other. Developed documentation cataloging the results and presenting the findings to enable other engineers to incorporate the learnings into future designs.

The Frith lab is a makerspace for first-year engineering students. Supervise shop operations, oversee safety regulations, and provide project assistance to students. Instruct students on the proper use of CNC, 3D printer, laser cutter, and general shop tools to complete coursework and personal projects.

Supported the EVT and DVT cycles for the eero product line. In addition to supporting the main product line development cycles, I developed cost-saving alternatives for the retail display units. I also helped to monitor production line defects using Instrumental software. Finally, I developed a methodology for evaluating consumer router products.

Worked under the Noblis Pieces of Eight Orchestrated Autonomy project. Led initial programming for Dynamic Robot Teaming simulations. Developed a networking protocol to maintain communications between robots in motion. Maintained documentation for all programs. Executed software development tasks in a Kanban environment.Additionally, supported a Noblis initiative to model the spread of Covid-19 in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Contributed to a program designed to pull infection and population data by zip code and run a simulation for spread through the proximity of shoppers, retail workers, and office workers in the Reston Town Center, VA.

Participated in a high performing consulting team. Designed and constructed 3D printed drones for manned-unmanned autonomy teaming initiative. Developed documentation for computer aided models and Robot Operating System (ROS) nodes.

Teaching assistant for technology summer school session at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. Provided support for teacher on curriculum and 3D printer maintenance for the class. Supported students on learning and applying computer aided design for additive manufacturing.
