Responsible for strategic communications, community engagement and relationship building among key stakeholders in Irvine, Calif. and greater Orange County. Design and execute community relations programs that advance the understanding and connections to FivePoint’s innovative mixed-use development, Great Park Neighborhoods. Collaborate with key stakeholders -- employees, business partners, schools and educational support groups, nonprofit institutions, media and civic leaders -- to articulate FivePoint’s mission, purpose and progress. Disseminate messages through internal communications, news releases, advertisements, community presentations and events.

Manage the internal and external communications strategies. Plan, produce and publish information about new products, key initiatives, partnerships and executive appointments across SCNG's 11 media businesses, including The Orange County Register and The Press-Enterprise. Serve as a primary spokesperson to key audiences including consumer/trade media, subscribers, advertisers and nearly 800 employees. Advise management on messaging and best channels to engage audiences, which include presentations, news releases, advertising copy, newsletters, social networks, company blog, and Intranet. Structure campaigns that position the company as an innovator, drive brand awareness/trials, and increase understanding of overall strategy. Promoted to Communications Manager of The Orange County Register in June 2007. Promoted to a dual role as Communications Manager of national parent company (the former Freedom Communications) in October 2008. Promoted to Communications Director in October 2014. Expanded responsibilities to include oversight of SCNG Custom Content unit and its four employees in October 2016.
