Responsible for, through professional efforts and persistence, soliciting and originating investment grade loans that are acceptable to Community One Bank’s chosen agencies or to the investors available to it through correspondent or wholesale lending agreements maintaining knowledge relative to the loan products offered whether through FNMA, FHLMC, external investors, or the bank’s portfolio of loan products; achieving goals as developed in conjunction with the Mortgage Sales Manager by pursuing referral relationships both internal and external to the bank; maintaining a high level of compliance with operating policies, underwriting policies, and bank personnel policies.• Establishes, develops and maintains client referral relationships with Realtors, builders, CPAs, financial planners, bank personnel, and others and makes sales calls on potential or existing customers in order to develop new business or maintain existing business.• Keeps up to date regarding mortgage industry related guidelines including those for FNMA, FHLMC, RESPA, appraisals, FHA and VA, USDA, etc.• Validates AUS findings and reconciles loan application with AUS findings in order to complete loan application package for submission for underwriting, processing, and closing.• Pursues cross-selling opportunities with the customer to promote other bank lines of business, products, and services• Achieving goals as developed in conjunction with the Mortgage Sales Manager by pursuing referral relationships both internal and external to the bank.• Engages in active customer follow up and marketing effort to promote on-going relationship and potential referrals.
