Responsibilities:- Federal and state compliance research and report-writing, including Rhode Island's subsidized housing inventory annual updates and managing RI's obligations to complete HUD's Consolidated Plan.- Understand federal, state and local housing investment and market trends to inform policymakers, such as analysis of government funding for housing, changes in home prices and rental listings, and geographical analysis of housing shortages at various affordability levels.- Use ArcGIS mapping software to create visualizations of program activity and market trends. Create maps that project varying housing supply by type and affordability by any geographic level, such as by town, census tract or legislative district.- Broad qualitative analysis of best practices in the affordable housing sector, such as state programs that fund home modifications or the most effective ways cities and town create incentives for accessory dwelling units or inclusionary zoning.
