I am a nonprofit professional with 10+ years of fundraising, stewardship, and communications experience and a Master of Public Affairs. Specific interests in donor stewardship, grantmaking, organizational management, and strategic and campaign planning. I am currently the Director of Strategic Advancement for the North Carolina Coastal Land Trust. In this role, I lead the fundraising and communications efforts of the organization. Key responsibilities include fundraising and communication goal and strategy development, and overseeing the implementation of the Coastal Land Trust fundraising strategies focused on securing the funding needed for operations, special projects, capital campaigns, stewardship, land management, land protection, and other programs as needed, and supervising the Development and Communications team. I previously served as the Manager of Philanthropy at the Saint Louis Zoo. I managed a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation prospects focusing on major gifts, leadership annual giving, and grants. I was the development liaison for the Zoo’s field conservation and research programs. Following my passion for philanthropy, I served on three grantmaking committees at the Zoo. I began my fundraising career as a student at the University of Miami and found my love for the nonprofit sector as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Cradles to Crayons in Boston, MA.
