Contributor to Dynamic System Domains which was the capability to partition computer physical components into logically separate systems.Design and developed high-speed networking subsystem utilizing an unique built-in shared memory hardware mechanism to allow TCP/IP communication between Dynamic System Domains utilizing the server system bus.Developed operating system level software and hypervisor level firmware to utilize processor built-in hardware security mechanisms to export such functionality to higher level software subsystems.Responsibilities included individual contributor and also team leadership responsibilities in architecting high-end server subsystems.

Contributed on "hot swap" feature in early SPARC server platform, Cray Superserver 6400. Feature allowed coordinated replacement of processor/memory/I/O system boards in a running system without having to shutdown/reboot the system.Division was Cray Business Systems. We were acquired by Sun Microsystems in 1996 when Silicon Graphics, Inc. purchased Cray and then immediately sold our division to Sun.
