Senior accountant responsible for accurately closing the books on a joint venture. Responsibilities include:- Raw materials monitoring (usage variance, price variance, swap accounting, etc) in standard cost environment- Accurately prepare multiple account reconciliations- Accrue and bill out utilities usages to numerous cost centers- Prepare JV for extensive audit conducted by 3rd party accounting firm- Lead finance contact for annual physical inventory for JV > $25MM- Significant contributor to team leading effort recruiting new interns for internship program- Build position from the ground up with company converting legacy systems to one integrated system- Work on cross functional teams; work closely with operations, engineers, logistics, finance strategy team, procurement, etc.- Foster positive relationship with customers and suppliers; monitor sales and purchases. Work with their accounting departments to reconcile and confirm discrepancies- Engaged in office culture; attempt to foster team atmosphere in office setting. Continuously look to help others improve and provide advice based on past experiences- Occasional international exposure working with counterparts across the world
