The responsibilities include over seeing all technology solutions for the district, including but not limited to the ongoing management and support of servers, computers, mobile devices, and the network both wired and wireless, and ongoing technology related professional development for both students and staff. This position supervises the IT staff and supports the technical needs of over 900 students and 110 staff and reports directly to the Superintendent.- Also responsible for the management, implementation and maintenance of various IT projects and duties including: - Daily trouble shooting and help desk management - WiFi and Network Infrastructure Upgrade - IP Security Camera Upgrade - 1:1 Chromebook Solution for Students and Staff - Technology Professional Development for Staff - Migration from Microsoft Exchange to Google Apps for Education - Data Projector Replacement Cycle - Virtual Desktop Replacement Cycle for Aging Dell Desktops - Web-based solutions for streamlining communications and other district functions.

A vital member of the technology department at Vandalia-Butler City Schools, providing support and maintenance for over 1000 Dell PCs, 50 Laptops, and 100 handheld organizers, as well as, 60 interactive white boards and 90 projectors. Provide installation, service, and support to over 4000 users. - Demonstrate effective presentation skills with advanced multimedia applications by providing training to administration, staff, support staff, and students on multiple platforms of software. - Create, design and maintain project data, documentation and reports with specific design and document editing software. - Assist in the planning of the district’s technology budget by working closely with our vendors including Dell, Global Government, Tiger Direct, CompUSA, and CDW. - Responsible for negotiating the price on large quantities of computer equipment and other technology products. - Through diligent research for the best technology for the best value, I have been able to save our district thousands of dollars.
