As a JPGR Business Partner, I have a lead role working with JPGR clients helping them to grow their businesses in food and beverage manufacturing. I also serve as a Principal in RCV Frontline, a Food and Beverage venture capital fund. Finally, I am a co-founder of the Detroit National Brewing Company, where we have relaunched Detroit's historic Altes Beer.I rely on my diverse experience in product development, business planning, new company formation and technology transfer spanning multiple industries over nearly 25 years. I am actively involved with the local entrepreneurial and economic development communities and have broad industry experience ranging from food and life sciences, automotive and consumer goods technologies.Early in my career I worked at Kellogg Company where I prototyped and launched multiple new brands. After leaving Kellogg I earned my MBA from University of Michigan and switched my focus from scientific research and joined FMC Corporation to coordinate merger and acquisition activities and develop business plans for new business ventures. After FMC, I returned to Michigan to work with Wayne State University and Delphi Corporation, where I focused on technology licensing and new startup venture creation. While at WSU I also created and ran a hands-on program helping WSU students to start their own ventures during their summer break. After working with Delphi and WSU, I concurrently helped launch two startup ventures. Battle Creek Ingredients has helped major food companies to launch innovative new food products and AutoHarvest Foundation enables automotive industry innovators to collaborate using social media tools. After exiting these startups, I returned to the Technology Transfer space at the Beaumont Research Institute where I ran the office and redesigned operations, reset the strategy and outreach, drove the depth and quality of the disclosure process and significantly improved the licensing deal flow and startup company formations.
