Determined / documented product design and engineering requirements; Performed board level design, board / platform level bring-up, design verification testing; CPLD / FPGA design and functional verification using Verilog HDL. Providing diagnosis support and software update access to platform, provided manufacturing and support teams additional debug tools for supporting release product. • Developed main logic board for Voice over IP (VoIP) router integrating FXS, FXO and E&M telecommunication ports. Allocated serial port signals on MPC862 Power PC device, designed, implemented, performed functional verification of Altera 10K30 glue logic FPGA. Completed board level bring-up. • Identified and resolved design issues, minimizing work interruptions and downtime impact to affected departments by performing technical and sustaining support for MPC860, MPC750 and AMD 29K based router platforms. • Reduced impact to internal and external customers by identifying design or component characteristics that changed in behavior due to supplier variance after production release for router products.• Equipped hardware, quality engineering and manufacturing groups to complete on-time delivery of new platform option module, as well as provided additional platform configuration flexibility to end users by developing drivers for HSSI / T3 and multiport, high-speed serial modules using GNU tool chain.
