In close cooperation with my clients, I manage instructions, style guides, term bases and translation memories, select appropriate resources and make sure deadlines are met.I specialize in complex, multilingual projects that are characterized by multiple phases and the use of advanced technology from the start to the finished, translated end product.In my role as Application Administrator I am a first point of contact for instructions, training, support and development of the project management system that is being used by all foreign offices of KERN.

In a freelance role I provided my clients with assistance in the fields of project management, proofreading and IT Support.I implemented a new project management system in various international offices of one of my clients, trained all relevant staff in using the new system and offered on-the-job follow-up support.

- Responsible for monitoring projects of an international company, for departments all over the world.- Guarding the profit margin through commercial buying and selling of services.- Supervising the work of five other projects managers.- Maintaining client satisfaction and tracking translation quality together with the Account Manager through reports, meetings and on-site visits.- Processing client feedback by finalising documents and updating term bases and translation memories in cooperation with the Language Engineering department.- Working with the Language Engineering department and Process Manager towards IT- or process-related advancements to improve the efficiency of PM work.- Functioning as first point of contact for knowledge of and issues with project management system software and other IT- or software-related issues. - Supervising large or unusual projects for other clients. I function as a second pair of eyes, convene project meetings and supervise the process of these projects.- Analysing and tracking risks associated with large or unusual projects. Sharing these risks with the Project Management, Account Management, Language Engineering and Translation departments.

- Responsible for accepting orders from clients, organising and coordinating translation projects.- Editing and preparing texts for translation, coordinating the activities of translators and revisers.- Proofreading of Dutch, English and German translations.- Data and terminology management, and translation memory maintenance.- Invoicing and management of accounts receivable.
