Collaborated with Plane Captains, QA, NDI, Managers, and Engineers to extend service life modification of aircraft. These were newly established mods with no prior attempts. Initiated project by gathering and sharing input and ideas in a group meeting to develop methodologies for the validation by taking a holistic approach to prevent re-work.Separated mod procedures into phases ensuring multiple eyes had a chance to analyze prior to removals.Validated parts kit, retrofit tooling, and verified blueprints coincided with technical directives. In doing so, discovered error in effectivity codes potentially causing duplicate work modifications on incorrect Super-hornet model serial numbers. Led a validation and verification team for new aircraft modificationsDuring my observational walk-around I filtered unnecessary work collaborating with engineers on revisions saving 100+ man hours per aircraft, significantly reducing costs raising the CPI. Having over 40 Aircraft with at least 10 requiring that modification, saved over 1,000-man hours at our facility. Fleet-wide saving of man hours, consideration to the order of operations and the Navy’s standards that “shall not” deviate from the publications. Without observing potential workaround, the publications would have been validated "as-is" without correction, leading to massive unnecessary downtime, extra work and increased potential of damaging ECS parts. A cascade of issues not planned for replacement by that parts kit. Validated retrofit tooling and made changes by revisions and collaboration with our machine shop for corrections.Responsible as the POC (Point of Contact) of a team on nights working primarily on our first sale back. As the POC I screened the workload delegating work maintaining schedule “on-track” at “full employment,” keeping hours below budget. During screening I noticed many aircraft had duplicate work orders, and certain employees would drain the hours on both, before signing them off. After discovery, my manager had me sit down and re-screen the aircraft’s entire workload, annotating duplicates to be removed and organizing it in a more efficient way preventing unnecessary “rework.” Upon completion, collaborated with logs and records making agreed upon changes. Revamping Line Stations 02-04. This led to much of my experience with scheduling, expanding my organizational capabilities and knowledge.

During our deployment, we underwent an MCA (Material Condition Assessment) and MPA (Maintenance Program Assessment) inspection. The MCA and MPA involves making sure we are in compliance with the Navy’s QA publications. We also underwent an MCI (Maintenance Corrosion Inspection) upon arrival, involving the complete disassembly of our aircraft. We created work orders and completed nearly 1200 corrosiondiscrepancies building up to the inspection. There, I was in charge of the Airframes shop. We passed all inspections with impressive results. For my work as the LPO, I was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal.
