I help programs create and redefine strategy and vision with proven results increasing speed to market. This has shown to not only increase the benefit of cost savings, but also create a better end to end customer experience. The role of strategic program management has evolved over the years as legacy platforms have quickly become archaic. The opportunities to leverage advanced automation, BPMN and other cutting edge technologies are released constantly, are readily available and can scale quickly. As companies fight to remain viable in the marketplace evaluating the tools and capabilities that can be leveraged must be at the front of mind for leaders at all levels. My experience at Fortune 50, core technology, and financial services corporations has given me a lens to see how these strategy decisions can have an impact that span across every corner of a company both in a positive and negative way.I have had the pleasure of being a part of highly skilled teams that have deployed cutting edge automation technology, increased efficiency many times over, saved over $10MM annually and released capabilities to create architectural runway that aid in building platform enhancements for years to come. The skills I have found to drive success are:Communication: Operating with open and honest communication is paramount to any successful team. Communicating the strategy to those it impacts, and even those it may not impact so they can understand the why behind decisions that are being made.Data: Decisions based upon accurate data help drive perspective and can assist in measuring results. Choices made on a whim, or made blindly often do not turn out as beneficial for those involved. If we can measure where we are, and know where we want to go, we will all be better for it.Defined Vision and Objectives: Where are we headed and how do we know we are on the right path? Clearly stating our short and long term goals and objectives provides the guardrails to operate inside. Collaboration: Great accomplishments are rarely completed alone. Bringing others together, having constructive conversations and working as a team drives engagement and a sense of belonging to something greater.Giving back to others: Personally, I enjoy mentoring and helping great people do great things. I have been a listener, a mentor, a leader, a therapist (probably a terrible one) and the bad guy. Each has an important role at times, but have been equally valuable at the end of the day.You may contact me at esweiner11@gmail.com if you would like to have a conversation.
