I'm grateful to have joined the Strategic Initiatives team:) We are responsible for identifying targets and integrating them into GoDaddy platforms where feasible to drive outsized inorganic growth. Check out some past examples of our work on the earnings calls!
Senior Technical Product Manager
I'm happy to share that I am part of the GoDaddy data and analytics team! I am helping to lead the Data Platform team, which ingests, cleans, governs, and shares data to our Data Lake / Data Mesh. * Created platform features that enabled GoDaddy to stand up a completely new business vertical - GoDaddy Payments (previously Poynt).* Streamlined Data Platform intake process utilizing automation which reduced intake time by 2 days and increased user satisfaction by more than double* Created technical and non-technical documentation for data producers and data consumers on the Data Platform which enabled a full touch-less experience and increased our NPS score by over 23%* Enabled a seamless user onboarding for all types of data (streaming, journaled, etc.) which increased adoption of the data platform by 270%* Joined Forces with data and analytics teams to create automated tools to cleanse, standardized, itemize, slice, and compile data for automated analysis.
Technical Product Manager 3
Excited to announce I have officially started as a TPM overseeing all Engineering Data at Blue! We will be building and improving the tools to help us accelerate our journey to the stars.* Major projects: 1). Launched company-wide AS9100-compliant Change and Configuration Management process (PLM), launched new tool that aggregates and reports on the structural verification for New Shepard and certifies it for Human Spaceflight 2).Rearchitecting, developing, testing, and deploying vehicle software Configuration Management tools compliant with RTCA DO-178C.* Collaborated with customers, senior and executive leadership, advocated for their needs, and created a cohesive roadmap ensuring dependable data connections, consistent data sets/variable types, and enabling robust and scalable systems across Blue Origin.* Create requirements where they do not exist to drive meaningful development, or negotiate with stakeholders to adopt realistic and sustainable requirements.* Utilized data-driven modeling to accurately measure and identify process short-comings, driving meaningful and lasting changes to our software engineering (e.g. PDRs, no tickets above 8 points), project management, and product management processes. * Creating and executing iteratively planned sprints/schedules to deliver critical features to customers on or before deadlines, at or under budget utilizing hybrid-agile processes. On average tools save at least 1,840 people hours ($368,000+).* Lead retrospectives, and updating team norms/ceremonies with lessons learned to decrease tribal knowledge and increase team velocity - helps to onboard new hires at full velocity in as little as 6 sprints.
Crew Capsule Manufacturing Engineer 2
I'm excited to announce that I will now be in charge of manufacturing for the New Shepard Crew Capsule. It's my honor to join the team as we qualify our vehicle and systems to support First Human Spaceflight. Step by step.* Oversaw integration of Blue Origin’s first human-rated vehicle (later named RSS First Step) including structural composite, structural metallic, pneumatic, cryogenic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Authored and released over 200 work order templates (engineering masters).* Created bespoke manufacturing processes to enable manufacturability, refurbishment, and operable reusability.* Resolved never-before-seen non-conformances on newly designed hardware and software systems, closing out over 70 non-conformances in the weeks before the vehicle shipped.* Created and standardized manufacturing processes across all of New Shepard vehicle integration to enable automated measurement of processes and identification of bottlenecks which drove decreases in station time (as high as 10% per station), decreases of non-conformances (no reoccurring related non-conformances), and increases in flight pedigree data.
Composites Manufacturing Engineer I
Composites manufacturing engineering for Payload Fairing, responsible for integration of non-structural components.* Oversaw integration of Payload Fairing by utilizing production optimization tools (Confluence, WBS charts, Projects, etc.) to lower non-conformances to decrease cycle time and labor hours by over 15%. * Coordinated with structures, avionics, EMI, thermal, and other groups to re-design sub-assembly components for manufacturability to reduce off-station labor hours and decrease non-conformances both off assembly and during integration. * Completed failure investigation of flight sub-assemblies and created robust manufacturing processes increasing first pass yield from less than 10% to just under 100% * Qualifying re-useable Payload Fairing by creating new TPS, acoustic shielding, ACS and recovery systems, as well as the accompanying manufacturing processes.
Research Assistant
• Researched critical parameters that affect amine blush in epoxy based adhesives to inform manufacturing processes for an industry partner.• Created a full design-of-experiment matrix to identify key parameters that initiate amine blush in epoxy based adhesives; quantified the input from each variable through lap shear, microscopy, DSC, etc.• Utilized results to refine and control manufacturing processes to prevent the formation of amine blush in structural composite integration.
Project Manager
• Managed UW EcoCAR 3, a multi-million dollar ($87M) advanced vehicle technology competition hosted by GM, DOE, and ANL. Directly oversaw 12 lead engineers, and had influence on the team of 123 students and staff.• Worked alongside the Engineering Manager to drive the UW EcoCAR 3 team to success. Managed risk and mitigated change through the use of Gantt charts, WBS, RACI/RAM charts, and other organizational and communication tools. • Implemented Jira to mitigate risk, accommodate change, optimize the workflow, communicate change, and instill accountability among members.• Performed reorganized team from a flat structure to a functional matrix to better facilitate breakdown of responsibilities and give the team a more competitive edge in the competition.
Mechanical Engineering Lead
• Led an interdisciplinary team of 40–50 engineers to hybridize the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro.• Modeled parts of the rear sub frame in NX 10 and performed FEA. Results were used to iteratively improve driver safety, fatigue life, and manufacturability.
Materials And Process Engineering Intern
• Collaborated with Engineering and other departments to certify the all composite Epic E100 (base price $3M) with testing that included: tension, compression, climbing drum peel, short beam shear, DMA, DCB, DSC, and single lap shear.• Utilized ASTM standards to create robust testing procedures and specifications to verify material properties and characteristics. Materials included: bi-directional and uni-directional pre-preg carbon fiber, pre-preg fiberglass, acrylic, bonding adhesives, aluminum, and interior thermoplastics.• Carried out the research and engineering process from specimen fabrication, to testing, and through data analysis. Projects included: bonding cure cycles, corrosion, exotherm cycles, and degree of cure.
