Engineering manager of a stress team. Previously, an experienced engineer in aerospace structural analysis who understands a free-body diagram, can build and analyze finite element models, learns quickly and has strong report writing skills.I also served as Executive Director and President of the WWII History Center Foundation - a 501c3 non-profit museum and research library. I am also the commander of the WWII Reenacting Corps, an official division of the WWII History Center.As a student at KU, I worked at the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets (CReSIS) on the Meridian UAV. I worked design and over 30 hours of wind tunnel testing.After college, I worked at Hawker Beechcraft Corporation. While there, I spent time in Design, Aerodynamics and Structural Analysis. I analyzed the Premier II landing gear and performed Durability and Damage Tolerance on the King Air.In Jan 2011, I started my own business (Pegasus Aerospace LLC) to work as an independent contractor. I was hired by Mav6 to work the Blue Devil II airship program. I worked as a stress engineer and aerodynamicist. I conducted modal analysis of the airship hull, compiled 6DoF model mass data, worked with vendors and authored reports (Drag Buildup, Aerodynamic Coefficients, CFD Summary). I was hired as a stress engineer at Spirit Aerosystems in July 2012. While there, I worked on the Boeing 737 MAX Sec 41 Group (nose section) and the Monocoque Group (skin and frames). I performed static analysis, FEM interrogation, hand analysis, Boeing stress analysis, fatigue analysis and report composition. I was hired at B/E Aerospace as a stress engineer in Nov 2013. Since then, the company merged with Rockwell Collins and then again with Collins Aerospace. At Collins, I've worked solely on the A350 XWB program. I was promoted to supervisor in Jan 2018 and then again to a manager in Jan 2022. As a people leader, I oversee Stress engineers performing static analysis, loads comparison and structural substantiation documentation. I also oversee weights engineers performing weights assessment and tracking of entire galley assemblies and documentation in weights reports. The teams I oversee are responsible for analyzing, sizing and certifying galley shipsets to the customer. I'm responsible for ensuring that quality work is done and delivered to the customer on-time.
