- Responsible for all aspect of the operations of a registered NPC with a national footprint and range of membership categories to promote the interests of the members, including Erectors, Designers, Fabricators, Inspectors, Engineers and System Software suppliers- The management of all aspects of financial planning, recording and reporting to the Board and members in compliance with all required corporate governance requirements.- Maintaining all legislated accreditation requirements for the South African Qualifications Authority and the Engineering Council of South Africa’s respective accreditation of the ITC-SA as a Professional Body and a Voluntary Associations with the associated CPD licensed status.Representing the interest of the members in various government, public and industry forums.- The promotion, provision and development of all levels of training for the industry.- Facilitating and promoting the development of industry related technical standards.

Durban

- The development and implementation of a strategic plan, financial modeling and associated capital projects for the plantations in order to maximize sustainable profitability for the forestry and sugar cane division. (Ensure optimised Agronomy practices)- Ensure effective and optimal operational management of the available assets in the division, in line with the companies various strategic plans, policies, budgets and financial management tools.- Ensure the forestry divisions compliance with all aspects of the required corporate governance including, Health and Safety, Risk management. Industrial relations, direct and indirect Procurement, Financial controls and the external environmental compliance certification requirements of the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC).- Ensure the logistics of the supply chain of timber to the various mills is optimized from a cost and reliability perspective.- Representing the company within the industry by serving on the KwaZulu Natal Fire Protection Association Executive (as chairman for 2017/2018), the Institute of Commercial Forestry Research board of control (including plant breeding) and on the Forestry South Africa General Committee and as alternate on the FSA Executive committee. - Support the Executive in the overall functioning of the company.

Durban Area, South Africa

- Handling key commercial negotiations including supply agreements, insurance cover and indirect procurement for the group.- Represented the company at the Competition Tribunal hearing.- Managing all aspects of the company’s long term lease with the state for the fixed property assets.- Liaising with the Company lawyers in fire claims and other commercial disputes.- Liaising with Government officials and external stakeholders in DAFF, DPW and various Municipalities.- Represented the company in the industry organizations of Forestry South Africa as well as Sawmilling South Africa (non executive director) - Member of the executive management team that was responsible for the overall strategic management of the company.

- Overall operational and strategic management of the region to ensure sustainable profitability of two sawmills, 8000 hectares of pine plantation and Airton Timbers.- Ensure the regions compliance with all aspects of the required corporate governance including, Health and Safety, Risk management. Industrial relations, direct and indirect Procurement (B3E2), Financial controls, the Government lease, and the external environmental compliance certification requirements of the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC).- All operational management aspects of the two sawmill/processing plants and forests including Financial management, Human Resources, Technical, Manufacturing (sawmill/plywood/laminated beams/timber treatment), Plant maintenance, Sales and distribution, Logistics and Forestry operations. (Harvesting, Silviculture, Logistics, Fire and Risk)- Ensure the logistics of the supply chain of timber to the various mills is optimized from a cost and reliability perspective.- Member of the executive management team that was responsible for the overall strategic management of the company.- Represent the company in the industry organisations of Forestry South Africa and Sawmilling South Africa (non executive director)
