• Collaborate with the Designer to curate seasonal collections based on researching trends among our target demographic• Assist with the selection and development of new fabrics each season through sourcing and ordering sample yardage• Aid in creating seasonal color stories to retain customer interest by remaining current and fashion-forward• Develop flat patterns for new samples from initial sketches and concepts• Supervise and oversee samples from conception to production• Orchestrate and schedule fit and pre-production meetings• Analyze fit problems and make fit corrections to ensure design vision and silhouette are properly executed• True-up patterns and send out to grade for production• Established spec sheets for fit corrections of overseas production• Efficiently manage design associates, interns, and sample sewers on a day-to-day basis• Calculate fabric yield and analyze components to establish garment pricing • Lead decisions regarding trims and notions on garments• Construct linesheets, technical flats, and color charts to support sales reps in promoting and selling the line• Work with factories and production manager to resolve issues that arise in production
