CurrentI am a partner in Wiggin and Dana's Litigation Department. My practice includes litigation, arbitration and counseling on a wide variety of complex commercial and civil litigation issues, including medical malpractice cases alleging claims of wrongful death, birth trauma, delayed diagnosis of cancer, and brain injuries. I have tried cases to verdict and recently secured a defense judgment after a bench trial in a case against a physician alleging lack of informed consent, and a directed verdict in a jury trial in a medical negligence case against a Connecticut hospital. I have also arbitrated and litigated dozens of franchise cases and has been chosen by my peers for listing in The Best Lawyers in America in the Franchise category (for more information on the standards for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, please consult Wiggin and Dana's website). I also have extensive experience litigating environmental disputes in state and federal courts. In addition, I regularly counsel the firm's clients on the requirements of federal and state antitrust law. I am Vice-Chair of the DRI Medical Liability and Health Care Law seminar taking place March 1-2, 2018 in Sand Diego, CA. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association and the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association's Litigation and Antitrust Sections. I was Editor-in-Chief of the Connecticut Bar Journal from 2010-2013, and am a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation.
