I have always known I've wanted to work closely with people. Growing up with my mom as a nurse it was constantly instilled in me to, "do what you love and love what you do", because of that I am chasing a career that I am unequivocally passionate about. Here I am, pursuing psychology and being endlessly captivated by new information and developments in the field. My experience reflects my passions for making someone's life just a bit easier. I have worked in childcare and the restaurant industry since I was fifteen years old, providing me with seven years of experience in customer service, child development, and conflict resolution. In addition to my work experience, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Applied Psychology from DePaul University, with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience and a minor in criminology in November of 2022. I have managed to maintain a GPA of 3.6 and have attained status as a Dean's list student every year of attendance. I am aiming to enter the job market with an open mind. I am an avid organizer, team leader, empathetic communicator, and fast learner who is ready and able to apply the skills I have acquired to a meaningful career. Through my college education I have gained experience in data analysis, statistics, human behavior, neuroscience, and psychology. In addition, I completed a 200 hour yoga teaching training course in Koh Phangan, Thailand in November of 2023, adding to my knowledge on mindfulness, as well as physical and mental wellness.I hope to make some connections and find my place within the vast possibilities for psychology majors such as myself.
