👋 Hi! My name is Erika (she/her/elle). I'm a Masters of Science student at the University of Ottawa! My research focuses on icebergs, oceanography, and environmental change in the Canadian Arctic.🎓 Until Graduation?• I'm developing experience in environmental research through field research expeditions in remote places such as the Canadian Arctic and Svalbard, Norway. • I'm working to serve my community through volunteering, research, and extracurricular activities to ensure that sustainability and equity are at the core of my work. I currently serve as the student representative for the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society and volunteer for Girls on Ice Canada.• I'm striving to learn the foundations of glaciology and its applications to understanding environmental change in the Canadian Arctic. Through my research I hope to support informed, equitable, and effective climate change solutions. 💭 My Aspirations• I want to drive change and make the world a better place. To me, this means finding environmental solutions that not only benefit our planet but equally benefit people.
