Erik Duerring leads the growth and management of DDI’s assessment operations on a global level. He drives efficiency and standardization while maintaining a global, regional, and local focus on customer needs. He also has responsibility for ensuring that processes, capabilities, and measurement systems are maximally effective. Erik has over 18 years of experience in succession management, assessment, and leadership development, covering various industries including technology, pharmaceutical, financial, consumer goods, manufacturing, sales, and services. He has successfully partnered with his clients to implement many, large-scale talent management, assessment, development, and selection initiatives aimed at mid- to senior-level audiences. He has consulted in the U.S., Asia, Africa, and Europe with multinational organizations, private owned enterprises (POEs) and state owned enterprises (SOEs) such as Microsoft, DuPont, OMRON, Texas Instruments, TSMC, PTT Group, ShuiOn Land, Eaton, Citigroup, Volkswagen, Toyota, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, sanofi-aventis, and the United Nations. From 2005-2012, Erik was based in Shanghai, primarily providing leadership to DDI Asia’s consulting, training, assessment, and executive solutions operations.Mr. Duerring is co-author of the recent book, Leadership Success in China: An Expatriate’s Guide. In addition he has written several articles on talent management.
