Most recently Erik worked as an ELA Content Lead at New Meridian, a leading provider of high-quality literacy assessment materials for state and national education agencies. He has over 15 years of experience in the field of education assessment development, and holds two masters degrees in curriculum and instruction, and educational leadership and administration.At New Meridian, Erik oversaw the development of literacy assessment items and passages for multiple states and projects, ensuring alignment with standards, evidence, and fairness guidelines. He also managed and mentored a team of content developers, reviewers, and editors, and collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality products and services. Previously, he led the operational working group for ELA for the PARCC Consortium, a multi-state assessment program that was administered to students across the country. Erik is a strong institutional leader and a passionate educator who strives to create excellent content and foster a lifelong pursuit of learning for educators, students, and stakeholders nationwide. He is also a collaborative and enthusiastic partner who has successfully worked with and supported multiple teams and organizations in the field of assessment. Erik has deep expertise in the field of ELA, as well as in large-scale assessment design, development, and implementation.
