I am currently a Research Technician at Cell Biology and Immunology (CBI) at Wageningen University and Research. Here, I am involved in research towards human and animal intestinal immunity to food components and allergies. Here, I am involved in research towards human and animal intestinal immunity to food components and allergies. My work includes several laboratory techniques with a main focus on Cell Culture, Immunological cell assays, and Flow Cytometry. I am responsible for the maintenance of our Beckman Coulter FACS analyzers and the training of new employees and students. Furthermore, I work together with a team of technicians to maintain the CBI research facilities, which offer a wide range of research possibilities. As a Data Steward, I have worked on the introduction of a Data Management Protocol in the chair group of Cell Biology and Immunology of Wageningen University and Research. We achieved our goal to create a chair group policy on Data Management to help researchers to produce, store and publish their Research Datasets in accordance with the FAIR principles. We achieved our goal to create a chair group policy on Data Management to help researchers to produce, store and publish their Research Datasets in accordance with the FAIR principles. Moreover, I have set-up and implemented an electronic lab journal in the group in order to document our experimental procedures and to create a knowledge database within CBI. In parallel, we have optimized our data flow from our lab instruments to our office desks in order to provide a safe and fluent way of processing raw data into graphs and figures. After conclusion of this project, I will focus again on research as a Technician and keep involved in Data Management as a DM Support Technician. Show less
