Senior Treasury Analyst Promoted From Financial Analyst
At Quiznos, I was tasked to recreate and professionalize the company’s budgeting and planning process globally, from scratch. Collaborated with business leaders and divisional Vice Presidents to determine budgets, set targets and create and present all financial statements company-wide (income statements, cash –flow, balance sheet). • Created and led a new budgeting, planning process across 40 divisions and business units globally and reported monthly variances to budget.• Created detailed 500+ line budget for 50 company divisions using IBM Cognos which pulls data into and out of Excel (sample reports available upon request. Created and distribute monthly budget vs actual reporting to division managers and senior management and analyze variances. • Programmed Excel Models from scratch to report budget vs. actual by month, across 500 general ledger codes and upload data into the company’s accounting software.• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) – Focusing on analyzing actual vs budget variances and ways to plan more accurately going forward. • Cash Flow Analysis – Responsible for daily and monthly monitoring and reporting on US and International cash flows.• Foreign Exchange - Monitored, reported, and acted on foreign currency fluctuations and used the change in rates to our advantage.• Redesigned Statements - Created detailed and clear monthly reports (Income Statements, Cash Flow, G&A, and Balance Sheet) that that were benchmarked to prior periods for Actuals, Budget, and multiple Forecasts.
