I worked with Professor Dov Sax and staff at the US Fish and Wildlife Service to study plant species tolerance for climate conditions. I created a database for commercial nurseries in the western USA that sell plants native to the United States. I used this database to map the locations of plant species and determine the climate conditions where they exist outside of their native range. I used this information to understand the full range of climate conditions that species can tolerate, so as to better inform management of endangered plant species and more generally to understand how species will respond to climate change.
