Currently I am working as a Data Analyst and Python developer for a local non-profit, working with the Medical team. I have a B.S. in Physics and an M.S. in Mathematics, and I have previously taught university and high school mathematics and physics courses for aspiring engineering and science students. My experience with physics and math are enduring, from my early physics laboratory experiments to my thesis research where I studied properties of semiconductor materials using Density Functional Theory and hybrid functionals. I have developed skills in data analytics throughout my working and academic career. My experiences have covered the entire life cycle of the data, in several types of data, analysis and presentation. Recently I completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certification to bridge the gap between my heavy science and teaching background to understand the role my experience can add to the world outside of teaching. My passions truly lie in the process of finding data, analyzing it, and sharing its insights with those that can use it.Through teaching and research, I have experience with programming in Python and Bash, and using Spreadsheet software (Google Sheets, Excel), Mathematica and MATLAB for data collection, computations, and analysis. Presentations were often done in Latex, although software tools such as PowerPoint were used at times. Through independent projects, I gained experience with R, SQL for Analysis and TensorFlow and Scikit-learn for introducing myself to machine learning methods and neural networks.
