• Developed a 10- week individual research project studying marine sediment cores involving sample collection, processing, and data analyzation through various geochemical and analytical methods. • Hiked and surveyed over 300 miles of trails and campgrounds in the Entiat Ranger District. Interacted with users and the forest service on the trail and co-ran two public meetings to assist in building a sustainable recreation strategy that met user needs and budget realities. • Developed and improved upon knowledge of backcountry living, hiking, and safety. Practiced interacting with users in a professional and positive manor, while listening to their comments and concerns about the district.
