I manage accounts for existing customers, with an emphasis on retention. I work to secure revenue, manage existing revenue and source new revenue. I also provide customer service for my customers, including container exchanges, invoicing, transfer of ownerships etc, with proactive customer support being the overall goal.

My job is to provide guests with a positive dining experience. To do this, I must have extensive knowledge of our beers as well as guest drafts, and numerous wines. The most important part of my job is building relationships and this is a skill I will use in any and every job I have in the future. Serving has drastically improved my memory and my ability to multitask. I have also improved my organizational skills. One of the most useful things I have learned is how to break down a daunting task into several smaller tasks and eventually accomplish a larger goal. This job requires excellent people and communication skills, not only with guests but my coworkers as well. I love working with a team and working at Taxman has vastly improved my team working abilities.

The Gifted Gown is a local, non-profit that provides men and women with free formal wear. I first became involved with this organization through a PR research class at IUPUI. Our group volunteered with The Gifted Gown and I fell in love! During my time with The Gifted Gown, I wrote and distributed press releases, donor letters, and event invites. I also assisted in planning and running an open house to celebrate The Gifted Gown's new location. I got a chance to network with Indianapolis professionals and practice "working a room". I also assisted in social media posts and created press releases for future use.
