Calculate and analyze the ALLL for a $3.8 billion loan bank to determine reserve requirements in accordance with ASC 450-20 and ASC 310-10 reporting. Analyze qualitative factors and compile quantitative measures support documentation. Integrate systems information to prepare monthly and quarterly trend reports for the Board of Directors and executive management. After integration, the prepared reports include risk rated migration, charge-offs, and asset quality pertaining to federal call codes, commercial real estate concentrations, collateral codes, NAICS codes, and geographical segmentation. Manage related key regulatory processes pertaining to Sarbanes-Oxley as well as maintain compliance documentation for both internal and external auditors. Maintain appropriate policy and procedures to ensure it remains current and relevant. Utilize diverse knowledge base to perform various special projects for executive management as needed basis. Played a critical role in the strategic project to automate the ALLL calculation in preparation for compliance with Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL), utilizing a newly purchased software. Ensure credit impairment methodologies are consistent with current and upcoming changes relative to CECL ahead of industry-wide mandatory implementation. - As the primary point of contact and sole user of the new software, identified necessary data points for the calculation, as well as data the bank wanted to retain in a data warehouse. Worked closely with the vendor’s project management and design teams, internal information technology and project management teams, and other departments to identify data mapping migration. The process also included testing and verifying the technical data to ensure accuracy, then providing possible solutions for identified issues. - As the first phase of the project was nearing completion, the bank acquired a new core banking system. Revamped the entire software to ensure it worked on the new core platform.
