As a small business, Print On Plus required me to assume numerous roles.My primary function was creating and managing the store's social media accounts, with an emphasis on Twitter, and integrating SEO functionality into both their website and Google My Business account.I also existed in a design capacity, creating document layouts for clients under tight deadlines.And of course I was also involved in getting documents print-ready, creating invoices, cropping documents when needed and running maintenance on the printer.

As an AMC employee I was given the opportunity to develop a variety of different skills.I cultivated communication and customer service skills by working the register; particularly in the concessions stand where anticipating the needs of the customer is vital.I learned time management and teamwork by working as an usher, a concessionist, and by managing booth operations. These positions each require planning but often in different ways. -Ushers keep track of when shows let out and plan time to clean restrooms, remove trash, and sweep up the lobby as well as anticipating the 'unexpected' and adapting to changes.-Concessionists have a variety of moving parts that require attention and need to account for the order of operation to run smoothly. Fellow teammates need to be able to divide tasks but also be flexible in their roles when it's crunch time.-Booth operations involves communication between management to ensure that the needs of movie companies and the needs of the customers are fulfilled. Planning out which room will house a particular movie involves reasoning through potential schedule conflicts and technological differences between some of the projectors, such as 3D capability.A particularly important skill I learned was figuring out how to gauge when I needed help and a willingness to ask for it when I was in over my head; and sometimes figuring out a way to move forward when it was not available.Outside my required duties I brought an element of problem solving to work that benefited both myself and my fellow employees. They were often small things but they had a big impact. I believe this aspect played a major role in my earning the Employee of the Month award numerous times.
