On May 22, 2011 tornado damage resulted in 5 month shutdownPre-Tornado: I introduced production metrics to the staff members and provided them with the tools and resources to begin meeting stated goals. I also evaluated the training effectiveness in the center and worked to bring the training department up to par with the company standards. I also worked to evaluate the other systems in the center and utilized LEAN techniques to validate or modify systems that were not effective. Post-Tornado:After managing the movement of all product, equipment, and records to another facility for storage and basic clean-up, we employed our staff at three different locations to keep them engaged and fully trained for the center reopening. During the closure I created a fundraiser to help replant native trees in Joplin. The center reopened with all staff members trained and proficient and produced 140% of the expected volume.

During this time I identified new projects and marketing opportunities both in the center and in the community to support volume and budget goals. The center met or exceeded both goals from 2008-2010. I was also responsible for overseeing the training department along with coaching and completion of compliance training for all staff.
