I am currently working as a research assistant at the Child Mind Institute after earning my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. I am extremely grateful for my experience conducting an independent senior research project alongside Dr. Rebecca Waller and the rest of the team at the EDEN Lab, in which I directed all aspects of experimental design, including justifying variables and reporting methods to Penn's IRB, developing the task and generating its visual stimuli, implementing the project by meeting with young children over Zoom, and analyzing the data for presentation and publication. Before this opportunity, I worked to develop my technical skills by conducting environmental science research in Colombia and taking multiple years of computer science and computational mathematics courses, demonstrating my long-lasting interest in research. For the future, I hope to continue down the path of psychological inquiry, aiming for a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology so that I can further contribute to the broader understanding of psychopathology and its treatments as well as serve as a mental health clinician for young children and adolescents.
