Designing and implementing strategic programs for all things Talent and Org Development, across Canva's 5,000+ strong global team.

Leading strategic external People (HR) partnerships and community programs, including creating and launching Canva's 'seed' Program 🌱 My focus was on future-proofing our ways of working with partners to drive the value and impact of these relationships on Canva's People goals. Alongside this, I led the People Team's community programs, creating opportunities for Canvanauts to flex and grow their skills within streams of work dedicated to building skills in our communities around the world.

Partnering with our People Ops, People Partnering and Talent Acquisition teams to build hiring strategies and hire amazing talent for Canva.

In this global role, I reported directly to the Group Head of Human Resources while managing a small team, to support 300+ employees across two Australian and 10 international offices. As the leader of Deswik's Talent Acquisition function, I was responsible for developing and executing the organisation's global recruitment strategy, as well as building their employer brand and EVP. Some highlights of this aspect of my role included building Deswik's graduate recruitment strategy and program from scratch and leading the organisation's employer brand initiatives (including the launch of the company's first ever careers website).In my HR capacity, I performed a diverse generalist role involving employee relations, people strategy and people tech enablement. A highlight of this aspect of my role was project managing the global implementation of a new HRIS (BambooHR) and ATS (JobAdder), including data migration and associated change management activities.

People and sales management role leading a team of 10.Main responsibilities included:• Design and implementation of sales and leadership training plans for staff ranging from junior sales roles to management team members statewide• Coordination of bulk onboarding and induction training activities• Performance reviews and performance management plans• End to end recruitment (including coordination of seasonal statewide volume recruitment activities) • Development and fulfillment of succession plans• Reward management• Relief payroll processing, regional HR touchpoint & regional/state management • Sales reporting and trend analysis
