In the in the Design & Governance team for Clinical Application Services, I facilitate change requests to the state Cerner eMR systems using Service Now and other 365 applications. Blacktown Hospital Operating Theatres was my second placement for Transition to Peri-Operative Practice training program for WSLHD. I was offered a permanent position after my training program had come to an end.I was involved in a quality improvement project to review patient delays in the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit. We collated and analysed patient data from the eMR reporting systems and presented the statistics and impacts to relevant stakeholders. We aimed to improve patient satisfaction, reduce theatre delays, overtime and staff burn out.
