At the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT Austin, I serve as a content writer for the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service. I primarily write for the center’s website and social media, crafting event recaps, spotlights on students, faculty and alumni, and other narratives that highlight the center’s impact.

At SOLEIF, I supported the PR and fundraising efforts of the foundation’s advancement team. I drafted press releases and blog posts to promote organization-wide initiatives and increase engagement. I also developed social media content, creating 2-3 posts a week on multiple platforms. Working out of a CRM software, I collaborated with the advancement team and external consultants to maintain a donor database, track fundraising campaign progress and ensure accurate and up-to-date donation acknowledgements.

As an Events Fellow at The Texas Tribune, I helped to plan, promote and execute the Tribune’s first 23 events of 2024. I helped build CMS pages for events on the Tribune website, wrote 500-word panel recaps, and created post-event metric summaries for donors. I contributed to early planning for the Texas Tribune Festival by synthesizing meeting notes and updating the festival database.My standout project was developing an outreach plan for the Tribune’s 2024 community listening sessions. A new type of event for the Tribune, these sessions aim to hear everyday texans’ thoughts and concerns about democracy across the state. For each session location I researched prominent civic organizations and community members, extended event invitations and followed up to secure attendees.
