Created and project managed engagement events designed to share business knowledge and build brand pride. Events ranged in size from 30-2,000 employees. Engagements varied in length from one hour to one day. Opportunities executed in locations worldwide, with an emphasis on five domestic bureaus. Supported CNN Learning, a strategy that provides employees with opportunities to build skills to develop in current roles and grow into new positions. Led executive initiatives including leadership meetings, town halls, and executive talks.

Responsible for understanding employee need and addressing those needs through communications, events, and programs. Led internal communications and employee engagement for CNN Worldwide. Internal communications included written communications, web and email platforms, data tracking, and consulting and creating communications plans for departments and leaders. Engagements included ongoing and stand-alone events to build brand pride, celebrate success, and invest employees in business goals and priorities. Created employee learning opportunities to build skills, including day-long intensive workshops and half-day leadership meetings. Worked on cross-functional teams to support executive initiatives.

Developed and project managed large-scale corporate and community programs and events that supported Turner’s philanthropic strategy. Managed project teams ranging from 5-80 leaders, day-long events including more than 20 simultaneous projects and volunteer groups of more than 1,000 individuals. Built and executed week-long programs with high-profile speakers, panel discussions, presentations, formal dinners and project pitches. Designed a working council of employee leaders to serve as community advocates. Built strategic partnerships with local nonprofit organizations.

Designed and executed volunteer projects with partner nonprofit organizations. Project management included timelines, deadlines, project scopes and budgets. Orchestrated large groups of employee volunteers including communications, registration, event management and post-event surveys.

Taught third grade through Teach For America, a national movement to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting the nation’s most promising future leaders in closing the achievement gap. Served as a liaison between community benefactors and Teach For America.
