Previously , I worked in Plano ISD for 5 years as a Special Education teacher for Reading and ELA. Currently, I work for Frisco ISD in secondary education as a 6th grade ILA teacher.I am a graduate of the University of North Texas. I have a degree in Development Family Studies and Early Childhood with a minor in Psychology. I am interested in a career in which I can utilize my organizational, my strong communication, and interpersonal skills. My background includes working with children and families. I have had six years experience at The Pines Catholic Camp—three years as a camper followed by three years as a camp counselor.I was a nanny for six children, as well as, a part-time nanny for three children, one of whom was developmentally disabled. In the summer of 2008, I worked at the Denton City County Day School. I organized the bookkeeping system to help the office run more efficiently. I helped plan the end-of-the-year celebration. Upon the director’s request, I authored the Speedway Children’s Charity Grant which aided the school in an identified area of need.I also have a background in fashion retail where I worked for The Limited. While employed at The Limited, I served as a sales associate, head cashier, temporary key holder, and sales lead/manager. At The Limited I constantly utilized my communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with my customers.I am an alumni of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. As a member of Alpha Delta Pi, I held the following offices: Intramurals Chairperson, Website Chairperson, and Corresponding Secretary. I also served as Alpha Delta Pi’s Greek Week Chairperson. As Greek Week chair, I was accountable for our sorority’s fundraising, to ensure participation of all sorority sisters in required events for the week, and communicating the events’ expectations to other sororities and fraternities.Specialties: wrote grants, manage more than 3 employees at a time, customer service, classroom management
