Alumni ManagerThe Alumni Manager has responsibility for engaging all FourBlock alumni nationally to ensure all veterans have the support that they need to meet their professional goals and reach their potential.In accordance with current follow-up procedures, contact FourBlock alumni to ensure that they have the support that they need to pursue meaningful employment.Maintain and update all designated data on alumni on a content management system as well as annotate any pertinent information, updates or follow-ups from the conversation. Ensure follow-up on any issues, questions or requests from alumni. Follow-ups may include contacting and coordinating with program directors or associate instructors who may provide more specific employment assistance.Assist program directors and associate instructors with screening and enrolling veterans as students in accordance with current enrollment criteria. Coordinate with Four Block leadership to plan and execute a communications plan specific for alumni that supports the national communications strategy.

Four Block Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that prepares transitioning veterans for careers in corporate America.We teach, manage and mentor transitioning student-veterans throughout the cohort, it is university-accredited program designed to equip high potential veterans to achieve great careers at our nation’s top companies. The program is taught in partnership with Columbia University, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Bob Woodruff Foundation. Our major corporate partners include, but are not limited to, Amazon, Starbucks, and many more. The goal of the program is to challenge and equip veterans to obtain competitive positions at companies and organizations that match their interests, attributes, and strengths. A successful program that focus' on career development and networking. The course is offered to college veterans that are now transitioning to their new careers. We partner with local Veteran organizations for contacts and support.• Utilizing prior military leadership and experience to coach, mentor, and develop student Veterans with career development skills. To provide inspiration for their next career, through some of the following tasks: identifying their top companies, company research, downward designing their careers, mock interviews, telling their story, master resume/target resume, and networking events with a variety of companies.* Leveraging Four Blocks network across the country for student Veterans that are interested in relocation for their next career.• Collaborating with other Veteran Service Organizations to assist in the development of our student Veterans.• Mentoring student Veterans with all phases of the career development including review of accepting offers.

I faced many challenges in my transition, from inconsistent work history to homelessness with a child. My proudest accomplishment since my military discharge has been attending The Mission Continues conference in Seattle, Washington. I was introduced to The Mission Continues Fellowship by a dear friend who is the mother of a fallen Marine whom I joined the Marine Corps with in 2008. His memory has since inspired me to pursue what makes me happy, and The Mission Continues has helped to make it possible.

After high school I wanted to serve a greater purpose than just working a typical 9-5 job, so I decided to join the Marine Corps during a time of war. I was nominated by my peers for the Molly Marine Award in boot camp, proving I emulated the ideal leader from day one of service. After graduating Marine Combat Training I attended Military Police School I competed for and was specially selected to attend the Department of Defense Military Working Dog School. There I earned the Top Dog award, graduating at the top of my class. My first duty station was Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler in Okinawa, Japan, and then Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. I was assigned to the United States Secret Service in direct protection of the President of the United States and his family, utilizing my Military Working Dog (MWD). My MWD and I were also assigned to provide protective services during the Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida. I utilized my MWD in response to over 30 bomb threats and suspicious packages, searching for explosives and ensuring the safety of thousands of military service members and their families. I also provided emergency services to civilians, service members and families aboard all military installations in Okinawa, Japan, and Camp Pendleton, California. My biggest challenge during my military service was responding to service member suicides while on duty as a military police officer. Unfortunately, I feel I will never fully overcome the many losses to suicide I witnessed of my service member brothers and sisters but awareness and prevention are a daily practice of mine. The mental wellbeing of all those around me, especially of veterans and service members, are my number one concern, as well as the future success of wounded and transitioning service members and veterans.
