About Erin M.

My professional journey is marked by a passion for both service and growth. With a keen eye for detail, I developed and provided Salesforce data reports that secured veteran hiring initiatives and multi-million dollar contracts with industry giants like T-Mobile, Amazon, and Microsoft. This knack for turning complex data in the Talent Acquisition space into stories of successful results not only led to hiring commitments but also underscored my program management role as a bridge between teams and corporate partners. I also provided business development in the tech startup sector involving direct hire and placement recruiting services. When not navigating the world of data and connecting unmatchable candidates to hiring decision-makers in tech startups and Fortune 500 corporate companies, I tend to immerse myself in the art of cooking foreign culinary dishes, Sudoku, and reading up on the latest tech and hiring trends. A lifelong learner and experienced public speaker, I embrace introspection, constantly seeking to understand and refine my skills. With each new dish or presentation, I bring the same discipline and creativity that I honed during my military service. I am excited for what the future holds while I finish my Data Analytics degree, and continue developing my passion for combining tech and people skills in order to place incredible candidates into impactful positions as a trusted Talent Acquisition professional. I am adept at utilizing ATSs and CRMs, pipeline building, sourcing, screening, matching, coaching & placing top talent in technical and corporate entry, mid-level, and c-suite roles.SalesforceData ManagementVisual ReportingProgram Management BrandingRecruitingApplicant Tracking Systems (ATS)Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systemsBusiness DevelopmentGoogle WorkspaceLeadershipMission DriveRelationship BuilderCollaborationCustomer CentricSalesforceGoogle AnalyticsMicrosoft SuiteCanva

'At The Mission Continues, our vision is that America will endure as a strong country. Americans who have served in the military, and who continue to serve here at home, will inspire current and future generations to serve our country. We believe that recent veterans are assets who have a tremendous amount of leadership skills and compassion, and we challenge them to use those skills to build strong communities across America. The Mission Continues is a national nonprofit that empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact. The Mission Continues achieves transformational change by deploying veterans to serve as part of operations across the country, where they work alongside nonprofit partners and community leaders to make a measurable impact, over time, on challenges facing underserved communities.Through this unique model, veterans build new skills and networks that help them successfully reintegrate to life after the military while making long-term, sustainable transformations in communities and inspiring future generations to serve.By empowering veterans to serve at home, The Mission Continues seeks to change the national conversation about veterans so that this generation leaves a positive legacy of service and personal success.'I was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 2014. I faced many challenges in my transition, from inconsistent work history to homelessness with a child. My proudest accomplishment since my military discharge has been attending The Mission Continues conference in Seattle, Washington. I was introduced to The Mission Continues Fellowship by a dear friend who is the mother of a fallen Marine whom I joined the Marine Corps with in 2008. His memory has since inspired me to pursue what makes me happy, and The Mission Continues has helped to make it possible.
  • United States Marine Corps
Military Police Officer/Military Working Dog Handler
United States Marine Corps Sep 2008 - Mar 2014
    Camp Pendleton, California
After high school I wanted to serve a greater purpose than just working a typical 9-5 job, so I decided to join the Marine Corps during a time of war. I was nominated by my peers for the Molly Marine Award in boot camp, proving I emulated the ideal leader from day one of service. After graduating Marine Combat Training I attended Military Police School I competed for and was specially selected to attend the Department of Defense Military Working Dog School. There I earned the Top Dog award, graduating at the top of my class. My first duty station was Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler in Okinawa, Japan, and then Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. I was assigned to the United States Secret Service in direct protection of the President of the United States and his family, utilizing my Military Working Dog (MWD). My MWD and I were also assigned to provide protective services during the Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida. I utilized my MWD in response to over 30 bomb threats and suspicious packages, searching for explosives and ensuring the safety of thousands of military service members and their families. I also provided emergency services to civilians, service members and families aboard all military installations in Okinawa, Japan, and Camp Pendleton, California. My biggest challenge during my military service was responding to service member suicides while on duty as a military police officer. Unfortunately, I feel I will never fully overcome the many losses to suicide I witnessed of my service member brothers and sisters but awareness and prevention are a daily practice of mine. The mental wellbeing of all those around me, especially of veterans and service members, are my number one concern, as well as the future success of wounded and transitioning service members and veterans.
